Key Features:
Ecotex® Curable Reducer is a Phthalate free plastisol ink reducer. Add this 100% curable reducer to plastisol inks to create a softer hand and to reduce viscosity. We recommend mixing 2%-5% by weight to the ink as a starting point. 10% can be added to the ink before affecting opacity. We suggest that you do a test print to check bleed, color strength and opacity after reducer is added.
Shelf Life:

The experience was Positive and it accomplished the desired results. The instructions are a bit ambiguous, and recommend "trial & error" to discover the proper amount. The quantity to use is not an exact science due to the amount and the ink you are mixing it with, I was very cautious when adding the Plastisol Reducer but the product did yield great results. This is an item, that is better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it.
Im a total newb at this screen printing but when I tried plastisol, it was way too thick. Got this stuff and you dont need much. It makes it creamy, i guess that describes it. Its a fun messy hobby and look forward o my next purchase from SPD.

For best results follow the steps below.
1. Mix in 2-5% by weight depending on the ink you are using. Some plastisol ink may be able to go up to 10% by weight.
Disclaimer: Exceeding 2-5% by weight and for some plastisol ink 10% by weight, will begin to reduce the inks opacity.
Quick Tip:
Flashing: Flash for 2-3 seconds. Ink deposit reaches 150-250°F (65-121°C). This varies between all flash units.
Curing - Cure at 325°F (162°C) for 1 minute to 90 second period (depends on thickness of ink deposit and oven type.) A thicker deposit takes longer to cure, heat must penetrate through the entire ink layer.
