The Ecotex Spatula has an ergonomic design that feels great in your hands even after a long day of printing. The comfortable wood handle is 4” long and the flexible stainless steel is 8” long. The flexibility in the blade allows for an easy application of ink to your screen.
I was really impressed with the products ordered from Screenprint Direct. All products worked as they should and also they have great customer service and very fast shipping.
Overall, great product. I use this for everything from storing my emulsion to placing ink on screens. Great tool and honestly you can never have enough.
For a long, long while, I was using those $1.00 plastic putty/paint scrapers from Home Depot. When printing, I would leave the old spats in the color(s) of ink I was using for that job. The length of those old things was super short, and many times, they would slip down into the ink. I’d then have to wipe down the ink from the handle, my hands, which wasted cleaning solution, would unnecessarily dirty shop rags, or waste paper towels… etc. Not to mention the spat part is super broad, and laying ink to the screen can be a lot like shooting a buck-shot of ink, causing bleeding to occur in unwanted parts of the screen… I digress. So anyway, I went ahead and got (3) 4packs of these Screen Print Direct ink spats. Let me tell ya… Now, when it comes to laying ink down in the screen, I’m like a friggin sniper. No mess, direct hit, “Print Confirmed”. And no more spat handles in the ink! I love it. It even got me motivated to clean all my ink buckets up, to eliminate any mess on the lids, or on the spats… now it’s just clean :). Just another way to streamline and save money in the long run! I didn’t think that something seemingly so little would make such a big difference in the workflow of jobs, but it really is the “Little Things” in life that are sometimes the most important!
Been using plastic spatulas & the ink just clings to them. Wanted to try this and wow what a difference. Ink cleans off with a baby wipe so I can move to the next color with grabbing another spatula.
Worked great for getting ink on the screen and in cleaning up ink from screen after using use
