Ecotex® Water-Based Low-Temperature Cure Additive by Screen Print Direct® is a versatile product and a great item to keep on the shelf if you frequently print with water-based screen printing ink. Not only does this additive cure ink at a low temp of 180 but it also prevents dye migration on polyesters and helps your print maintain color after multiple washes.

Standard water-based inks cure at 320°F, the dramatically reduced temperature of 180°F helps to speed up the curing process and requires less energy from your heating units. Low heat is ideal when working with polyesters as it prevents dye migration.

If you are not looking to reduce the cure temperature of water-based ink this should still be a staple additive when printing with water-based silkscreen ink. Our WB Low-Temperature Additive helps the ink maintain great color. In the image above we display water-based ink with additive and without, after one wash the water-based ink without the additive doesn’t hold color as well as the print with additive.

Directions:

1. Mix 1-3% by weight thoroughly to your water-based ink.

2. Once mixed do not return ink to the container. Ink has approx. 8-hour life span once mixed with additive.

3. Print through 160+ mesh-like normal

4.    Let air dry for 48 hours before handling or 24 hours before handling at as low as 180°F.

Recommended Mesh: 160+

Recommended Storage: Between 65° - 90° Fahrenheit
