Hyper Haze vs Liquid Haze - What's the difference?

Feeling some haze regarding our two haze removers? Let us clear that up for you! What is the difference between Hyper Haze and Liquid Haze? We get this question often and decided to give the answer a bit of real estate on our website to clear up any confusion regarding these two products.

In a nut shell, absolutely nothing! These products are identical, in fact they do exactly the same thing. They have 90% of the same ingredients.

I can read your mind now, “ok so why is there two? “

Glad you asked! Printers’ preference.

Traditional haze removers are paste-like and are scooped from the container and placed onto the screen. Screen Print Direct’s traditional haze remover is our Hyper Haze.

Liquid Haze is the same as hyper haze except for the gritty particles that are in Hyper Haze. We made Liquid Haze for convenience, instead of scooping out haze remover you can now just squirt the haze remover onto your screen with Liquid Haze. The gritty substance in Hyper Haze is the 1% difference in the two products. Well, that and the color, our Liquid Haze is green (for fun.)

Fun Fact: Liquid Haze was invented during a manufacturing mistake, someone in production forgot the gritty substance and the batch looked very off. We tested the product to see what happened and found it worked exactly the same way.

For those wondering what even is haze remover anyways?

Haze remover eliminates any remaining stains on your screen after emulsion and ink have been cleaned off. Haze remover preps your screen for its next use by making sure it is free from grease, oily residue and/or ghost images that were left behind.

Screen Printing is a trade that requires many chemicals but here at Screen Print Direct we like to minimize toxic chemicals, making them safer for you and the environment. Hyper Haze and Liquid Haze are non-corrosive, biodegradable and drain safe! We highly recommend adding Hyper Haze or Liquid Haze to your arsenal of screen-printing supplies, it is a staple.

How to use Haze Removers?

  1. Remove all ink and emulsion from screen ( this product shouldn’t be used on a new screen)
  2. Using a non-abrasive scrub pad apply Hyper haze to both sides of the screen, scrub thoroughly and let is sit for at least 10 minutes.

**For tough stains let sit for hours or even overnight

  1. This is when the magic happens! Using pressurized water rinse your screen thoroughly and now your screen is prepared for production
